Bayley Fuels WWE Rumor With Cryptic “Maybe… Maybe Not” Post

Bayley is continuing to tease a potential return to WWE television.

The former WWE Women’s Champion has been interacting with Blake Monroe on social media in recent days, with their latest exchange fueling speculation that Bayley could surface on an upcoming episode of SmackDown.

The interaction comes amid continued questions regarding Bayley’s WWE future, as she has reportedly yet to sign a new contract with the company. There has also been speculation about a potential move to AEW and a long-awaited showdown with Mercedes Moné.

On Saturday, Monroe posted on X while continuing to push the idea that she wants her main roster in-ring debut to come in a match for a world championship.

Bayley responded to Monroe’s post with a simple message:

“OK.”

After Monroe questioned whether that was all Bayley had to say, Bayley offered another cryptic response.

“Maybe… maybe not.”

Monroe then appeared to challenge Bayley to show up on SmackDown next week.

“No one likes a tease,” Monroe responded. “See you on Friday or don’t tweet me again.”

Whether the exchange ultimately leads to Bayley appearing on WWE television remains to be seen.

The August 28 edition of WWE SmackDown takes place from Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The show airs live at 8/7c on USA Network in North America and Netflix internationally.

Thus far, Tatum Paxley vs. Michin, which will mark Paxley’s WWE main roster in-ring debut, is the only match officially announced for the show.
