Ubisoft Confirms Assassin’s Creed Live-Action Series Has Started Filming, Will Take Place In Ancient Rome In 64 AD

Ubisoft has revealed that the live-action Assassin’s Creed series will take place in Ancient Rome in the year 64 AD, and what’s more, it’s now officially started filming. Oddly enough, the X post confirming these details has since been deleted.
There’s been a lot of chatter about Netflix’s live-action adaption of historical action-adventure franchise lately, with a number of major castings announced. A few days ago, it was revealed that Nabhann Rizwan and Claes Bang had joined the Assassin’s Creed series, following on from previous castings including Sean Harris and Ramzi Bedia.
Back in December Netflix revealed that Zachary Hart and Lola Petticrew had joined the show, and Deadline followed this up by stating Hart would be a regular in the series. Toby Wallace is also a major part of the Assassin’s Creed series, having been confirmed last year to co-start in the Netflix production.
New members of the cast confirmed today include Louis McCartney, Mirren Mack, Youssef Kerkour, and Sandra Guldberg-Kampp.
We still don’t know anything about the plot in the Assassin’s Creed series, although the time period of 64 AD puts it well before the era of many of the video games, including Assassin’s Creed and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which took place in 1191 and 872, respectively.
