Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Teases Official Logo In Trailer, Ben Schwartz Confirms Return Of Jim Carrey As Robotnik

Paramount has given us a brief tease for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 4 in the form of a logo reveal, and while it’s not much, we do have confirmation from Sonic voice actor Ben Schwartz that Jim Carrey is returning for the sequel. If you’ve seen the previous movie, you may be surprised given, well, let’s just say Dr. Robotnik’s days looked numbered.
The teaser itself features the logo for the movie alongside brief images of the main cast, Carrey included, alongside the likes of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and Metal Sonic. Ben Kingsley is also confirmed to be appearing in the film in an as-yet unannounced role, while Tom and Maddie, played by James Marsden and Tina Sumpter, respectively, are also back.
Not much is known about Sonic the Hedgehog 4 yet, although Amy and Metal Sonic were teased at the end of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, so presumably it’s going to focus heavily on those characters. However, there’s no plot synopsis available yet, but the teaser indicates Metal Sonic is the Big Bad this time around.
SEGA hasn’t announced a new Sonic the Hedgehog game yet, but given that it’s the series’ 35th anniversary, we should hopefully hear something at some point this year.
