Grand Theft Auto VI Preorders Open On June 25, Check Out The Official Cover Art
Rockstar Games has announced that Grand Theft Auto VI preorders will open on June 25, 2026 across digital storefronts and select retailers, with the studio also lifting the wraps off the game’s official cover art.

Last month, Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Take-Two, revealed that the highly anticipated open world title is still on track to hit its planned launch date, and reiterated that marketing for GTA 6 will kick off this summer. Previously, Zelnick revealed during a chat with David Senra that GTA VI is about 18 months behind its original release window, which suggests the game was initially planned to launch in Spring 2025. Rockstar originally announced a Fall 2025 date for the open-world crime sequel, before delaying the game to May 2026 and finally November.
This latest entry in the multi-million selling franchise takes place in Leonida, a fictional US stated based heavily on Florida, and follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a romantically involved crime duo who, after a failed bank heist, become embroiled in a state-wide conspiracy and must protect each other.
Grand Theft Auto VI is slated for release on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
