Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Ends Longtime Business Relationship

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Under Armour are ending their longtime partnership.

Johnson has worked with the sportswear company since 2016, collaborating on the Project Rock clothing and footwear line. It was announced this week that the two sides are going their separate ways after a decade together.

According to fashion outlet Women’s Wear Daily, the split was “cordial.” Johnson and his ex-wife and business partner Dany Garcia own the Project Rock trademark and are now expected to seek a new manufacturing partner for the brand.

“The ending of the partnership was reportedly cordial and Under Armour will continue to distribute Project Rock through October,” the outlet wrote. “Johnson and his ex-wife, entrepreneur Dany Garcia, own the Project Rock trademark and will be seeking another manufacturing partner to produce the line, according to sources.”

The Brahma Bull logo synonymous with Johnson has been prominently featured throughout the Project Rock line during its run with Under Armour.

Both sides expressed appreciation for their decade-long relationship, with Johnson thanking Under Armour and those who helped build the brand.

“I’m grateful to Under Armour and to every person who helped us build this epic chapter of Project Rock,” Johnson stated. “I’m proud of what we created together, and even more proud of all the people behind the scenes who poured themselves into Project Rock, and took great pride in making it their own.”

Johnson made it clear that Project Rock will continue as he begins looking toward the brand’s next chapter.

“You know who you are, I see all of you and I’m forever grateful. Now we move on to new north stars, new partners, and with one intention in mind: deliver for the people. We build it, together.”

Under Armour will reportedly continue distributing Project Rock merchandise through October.
