Title Change Takes Place On 8/14 WWE SmackDown In Boston

The August 14, 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown was a newsworthy show to say the least.

The show kicked off with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis ultimately giving Chelsea Green 30-days to get medically cleared or the proper face-protector needed to defend her WWE Women’s Interim Championship as contractually obligated, or he will be forced to strip her of the title.

From there, things only continued to pick up.

After a successful title defense by Baron Corbin over Boston’s own Carmelo Hayes, which saw Corbin attacked by Lil Yachty and Trick Williams afterwards, the other two advertised title tilts on the show saw championships change hands.

In the WWE World Tag-Team Championship three-way showdown pitting Damian Priest and R-Truth against The War Raiders and The MFTs, it was The MFTs duo of Tama and Talla Tonga who managed to get their hands raised to become the new champions.

Immediately after that, the WWE Women’s United States Championship match took place. After Tiffany Stratton was attacked earlier in the show, she insisted to Nick Aldis backstage that she would still defend her title as scheduled against Jacy Jayne of Fatal Influence.

That match took place, and saw interference from fellow Fatal Influence members Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid, who attacked Green at ringside in Stratton’s corner, leading to Jayne picking up the win and becoming the brand new WWE Women’s United States Champion.
