Neil Druckmann Says Naughty Dog’s Next Game Is “Really Ambitious” And Will Be “Really Hard” To Create

It’s been years since we’ve seen a game from Naughty Dog that wasn’t The Last Of Us, and while we know that there is work being done on a third game in that franchise, Naughty Dog is also working on something new.

Knowing that, it adds further intrigue to Naughty Dog head Neil Druckmann’s recent comments from his podcast interview with rapper Logic on the rapper’s podcast, Logically Speaking.

Speaking on what’s coming next for Naughty Dog, which could be either their new IP or The Last Of Us Part III, Druckmann gave what he seems to feel are realities of the project he’s talking about. That it’ll both be “really ambitious” but also “really hard.”

“Working on this new game, it’s really ambitious, parts of it are really hard, but I’ve really surrendered to knowing it’s going to be really hard, knowing it’s going to stress members of the team out.”

Druckmann continued saying knowing that it’ll be both really hard and stressful, he’s searching for a way to make the experience as “joyous” as possible.

Whatever Naughty Dog does next, the entire gaming world will be watching. Hopefully by then Druckmann was successful in making it “joyous” for his team to work on it.
