Is Blue Dragon Remastered Coming To PS5? Originally released on Xbox 360 back in 2006, Blue Dragon is an RPG developed by Mistwalker & Artoon, and has reached something of a cult status among gamers. Yes, it’s an older game, but with Microsoft now poised to bring many of its Xbox games to rival formats (officially this is just a rumour), there has been a lot of interest among PlayStation players regarding a possible Blue Dragon PS5 release, presumably remastered with a curren-gen facepaint. Could it happen?

Officially there are no plans for a Blue Dragon Remastered release for PS5. Mistwalke isn’t an Xbox-owned studio, so it’s free to bring the game to any platform it likes, although Blue Dragon is obviously synonymous with Microsoft’s console as it wasn’t release on any other format. So, if the game were to be remastered, then there’s a chance it could come to the PS5.
Unfortunately, studio boss and Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi revealed during a March 2021 interview with VGC that he isn’t interested in remastering past titles, including Blue Dragon. This was nearly three years ago however, so his opinion may have changed.
In regards to Mistwalker as a studio, it has historically never released a game for a PlayStation console, and its last few projects have been released on mobile devices
