The Witcher IV Is Not Going To Appear At The Game Awards 2025

The joint-CEO of CD Projekt RED has confirmed in a post on X that The Witcher IV wonβt be putting an appearance at The Game Awards 2025 next month.
The upcoming fantasy-RPG has been nominated for Most Anticipated Game at TGAs, with Michal Nowakowski extending his thanks to fans who have already voted for the game. However, we wonβt be seeing The Witcher IV there, following its debut at last yearβs awards.
Iβm very happy to see The Witcher 4 nominated in the Most Anticipated Game category at The Game Awards. Thanks to everyone who has already voted β your support means a lot of to us. We wonβt be bringing any new content to TGA this year, but weβre, as always, excited to watch the show and celebrate this amazing industryβs great night alongside all of you.

Speaking during its latest financial results overnight, CDPR revealed that 447 staff members are currently working on The Witcher IV, which is a slight increase from over the summer. While a release date continues to remain elusive, the studio has confirmed that the game wonβt be seeing the light of day until after 2026, so itβs still a ways off at this point.
