Whether you’re a Fortnite fan or not, it’s hard to deny that Xbox is delivering one of its biggest Game Pass Perks ever today for Ultimate members, with Fortnite Crew set to go live for subscribers at some point over the next few hours.

Fortnite Crew will bring a variety of benefits to players across console and PC, including full access to the Battle Pass, OG Pass, LEGO Pass, and Music Pass, as well as 1,000 V-Bucks every month and a selection of special items.

“It’s time to drop in, in style. From November 18, Fortnite Crew becomes part of your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, bringing monthly benefits across Fortnite (and even in Rocket League, too).”

To access Fortnite Crew, Xbox says you’ll just need to log into the game on an “Xbox console, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, or a supported gaming handheld”. We’ve just tried it on the ROG Xbox Ally X and it isn’t showing yet, but rest assured that it’s supposed to be going live in just a few hours’ time.

For what it’s worth, there’s no official release time for Fortnite Crew on Xbox Game Pass as things stand.

“As an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, you’ll gain access to Fortnite Crew and begin accruing benefits when you sign in to Fortnite or Rocket League on Xbox console, Xbox on PC, Xbox Cloud Gaming, or a supported gaming handheld.”

If you want more details on all of this, Xbox has a great Fortnite Crew FAQ page with answers to all sorts of queries you might have, and keep in mind that if you already have Fortnite Crew and you’re an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber, your Crew subscription will be automatically cancelled as part of the transition.

Another thing that’s happening today is that Fortnite is becoming an Xbox Play Anywhere title, meaning it’ll be available on the Xbox PC app for the first time. This is great news for anyone who doesn’t want to use the Epic Games Store launcher anymore, and it should make the switch between console and PC even more seamless for Xbox fans!
