Capcom Issues Update On Pay-Per-View Street Fighter Tournament Streams: ‘We Will Provide Information As Preparations Are Complete’

Capcom has issued a new statement regarding its plans to charge users to watch upcoming Street Fighter tournaments.
The Resident Evil publisher was previously met with considerable backlash from fans after it confirmed that a bundle to view both the Capcom Cup 12 Finals and the SFL World Championship would cost around 6,000 yen ($40). In response to this, Capcom said that it was in the process of “reviewing pricing,” with more info including final pricing set to be revealed at the end of this month.
However, a new statement from Capcom has revealed that things are taking a bit longer than anticipated, and confirmed that new details will be revealed “as preparations are complete.” This would indicate that it is still looking to charge users to watch the streams.
