P Studio’s Kazuhisa Wada Says Persona 4 Revival Is A ‘Tough Challenge’ But Is ‘Shaping Up Nicely!’
Kazuhisa Wada, Creative Product and Chief Director of P Team, has revealed during a chat with 4Gamer that the upcoming Persona 4 Revival is ‘shaping up nicely,’ and admitted that it’s proven something of a challenge due to the sheer volume of content that is being packed into the remake.
Persona 4 already packed a ton of content in Persona 4 Golden, so when it comes to creating the next ‘R’, it’s not just about adding more – we have to create an experience that’s enjoyable in a new and different way. And this includes the sheer volume of content, so to be honest, it’s a tough challenge. But it’s shaping up nicely!

Persona 4 Revival was the subject of much speculation for years before it was officially announced by Atlus, and has yet to attract a firm release date. However, Sega Sammy Holdings confirmed the game will arrive “in or after” the company’s FY 2027, which covers the period April 2026 — March 2027.
Persona 4 Revival is due out on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and its English voice cast is expected to be recast over the original version of the game. The game will faithfully reproduced the core narrative of Persona 4, but its visual and mechanical overhaul will ensure its aligned more closely with that of Persona 5 and Persona 3 Reload.
