Genshin Impact Update 5.8 ‘Sunspray Summer Resort’ Set For July 30, Brings Easybreeze Holiday Resort & Ineffa As New Playable Character

miHoYo has announced that the next major update for Genshin Impact, known as Sunspary Summer Resort — aka Genshin Impact update 5.8 — will launch on July 30.

This latest patch for Genshin Impact will introduce another new location for players to explore, namely the sun-kissed Easybreeze Holiday Resort, which promises a number of ‘laid-back, colourful events.’ Based off the west coast of Natlan, Easybreeze Holiday Resort is a lush new island region that is open for its trial phase, while familiar faces including Bennett, Chasca, and Mualani will show their faces for this latest adventure.

The new story quest, Sunspray Summer Resort, will see resort mascot Asha granting Travelers, exploration powers similar to the Saurians, which gives you an easier time of gliding across water and hovering briefly in midair. Meanwhile, there’s plenty of seasonal events peppered throughout the resort, such a Travels Are Fuller with Friends, Strikers Through the Storm, and more. Meanwhile, earning Sunspray Spirits through mini-games will allow you to unlock new rewards, including the 4-star Claymore “Flame-Forged Insight” and Bennett’s new outfit, “Adventures in Blazing Hue.”

The story of Nod-Krai is about to unfold in the new version series “Song of the Welkin Moon.” In the prelude chapter, “The Journey Home” in Version 5.8, Ineffa, Travelers will meet your very first companion from the region: Ineffa, an all-purpose household robot created by the Whiz-Kid Mechanic Aino of Nod-Krai. Together with Ineffa, Travelers will set off on a journey across Natlan to uncover the secrets of her origins—mysteries that appear to be closely linked to the ancient dragon civilization.

Finally, a new character in the form of 5-Star Electro poelarm user, Infeffa, will join the playable roster and introduces the new Lunar-Charged reaction. While in the team, any Electro-Charted reaction triggered by party members will become a Lunar-Charged reaction. As a combatant, Infeffa can deploy a shield and utilise the Multipurpose Smart Assistance unit known as Birgitta, which dishes out AoE Electro damage on foes.

Genshin Impact update 5.8 launches July 30.
