Techland Has Reportedly Cancelled Work On Two Projects

Techland, the studio behind the critically acclaimed Dying Light franchise, has reportedly cancelled two projects after posting losses of 130 million Polish złoty ($37.3 million).

That’s according to Puls Biznesu, a Polish business out that states that the losses have been attributed to “our decision to discontinue further work on two projects,” although at the point it isn’t known what these games are.

Techland is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Dying Light this year, and has released a new update that gives the original game a visual and audio makeover, although it’s not a full-on remaster. Meanwhile, Dying Light 2 continues to receive support with numerous updates and additional content being rolled out.

Looking ahead, Dying Light: The Beast is next in line for Techland in August 2025 and has said that it is treating the game essentially as Dying Light 3. For those unaware, Dying Light: The Beast evolved during its production from DLC for Dying Light 2 to its own standalone adventure.
