Finnish startup Seven Stars secures seed round to build “next-gen” puzzle games

Mobile games startup Seven Stars has secured seed funding to build “the next generation of puzzle games”.
Seven Stars is led by former Tridify CEO Alex Le Bell. Olli Aurola, the ex-group wallet officer at Lute Group, is CTO, while former SciPlay creative director Markus Tuppurainen holds the same title with the startup.
The developer said its team consists of juniors, industry professionals, and experts with experience from Rovio, Moon Active, Next Games, Seriously and Small Giant Games.
Spintop Ventures and Behold Ventures co-led the investment with Sisu Game Ventures. The startup also received support from Failup Ventures, former Small Giant Games CEO and co-founder Timo Soininen, and other angel investors.
Seven Stars has also received funding from the EU to support its “R&D project”.
Creating new experiences
“At Seven Stars, we’re building the next generation of puzzle games, blending innovation with deep industry expertise,” read a statement from the studio.
“Our team, with experience from Moon Active, Rovio, Seriously, Next Games, and Small Giant Games, is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of mobile gaming.”
Sisu Game Ventures also added: “We are excited about the reveal of Seven Stars’ new round, which marks our latest investment in Finland.
“The Seven Stars team has already demonstrated their ability to craft excellent puzzle experiences efficiently. Their upcoming game showcases a strong creative DNA blended with the type of commercial mindset required to succeed in a demanding mobile market.”
