Mario plucks some new tunes for Nintendo Music
Whether you’re a fan of retro or modern games, the Nintendo Music app delivers new tunes across all genres every Monday. This week’s update adds the classic platforming styings of Super Mario Bros. 2 to the mix.
While Super Mario Bros. 2 might be the black sheep of Mario’s platforming history, it’s still a classic title with its fair share of fans. Originally launching for the NES way back in 1988, it features an excellent, upbeat soundtrack that makes it a perfect addition to Nitnendo’s own audio-streaming app.
The Super Mario Bros. 2 soundtrack isn’t a long one, featuring 14 tracks that run for a mere 8 minutes. Still, these diverse tunes are worth checking out for fans of the game, especially if you remember the final scene with Mario dreaming. And, don’t forget, many tracks can be extended via the app, so those seemingly short tunes can last much longer. Let the good times roll!
