How will Switch 2 JoyCons be used as a mouse? Pure Nintendo Podcast E98

This week on the Pure Nintendo Podcast, Kirk and Jemma continue counting down to the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct. This week’s conversation is all about JoyCons.

Last week, we talked about potential hosts for the upcoming Direct presentation, set for April 2. This week we take a look at the latest JoyCon news, including a recently discovered patent that seems to confirm their use as a mouse. How will this work? Will we see peripherals as add-in bonuses? We cover it all.

In this week’s news, we discuss Nintendo’s latest financial report, which seems to indicate strong software sales. And the Switch has now sold over 150 million units, which is no mean feat. Plus we look at the latest soundtrack to join Nintendo Music with the lovely Super Mario World.

We also discuss the latest games we’re playing. Jemma has been tinkering with the sci-fi shooter Macross -Shooting Insight- and gives her thoughts on this latest outing. She’s also excited to play as Casey Jones in the roguelite TMNT outing, Splintered Fate, which has just released DLC containing the sports-obsessed action hero. Is it worth your time?

Meanwhile, Kirk is playing the latest in the long-running Legend of Heroes series with Trails Through Daybreak II along with the retro-inspired Freddy Farmer.

We’re also excited about bringing you fresh new content each week, so tune in every Monday for the latest dose of all things Nintendo.

Until next time, game on everyone!
