Final Fantasy XVI State Of Play Hit 1 Million Views In Just 2 Days

Sony’s Final Fantasy XVI State of Play broadcast last week amassed one million views in just two days and currently stands at 1.1 million views as the YouTube video post of the event continues to gather steam.

In case you missed it, the State of Play broadcast offered an extensive look at Square Enix‘s highly anticipated RPG, with over 20 minutes of new gameplay on offer. This included a look at combat, boss fights, the world map, characters, and much more.

Final Fantasy XVI director Hiroshi Takai recently commented on the PlayStation Blog that he was blown away by the speed of PS5’s SSD, noting how the studio has leveraged the power of Sony’s new console to deliver a truly next-generation Final Fantasy experience.

Earlier this week, Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy XVI will support two performance modes for PS5, which will focus on resolution and frame rate. Furthermore, according to producer Naoki Yoshida, gamers can expect to put around 70-80 hours into Final Fantasy XVI to achieve 100% completion.

Square Enix will publish Final Fantasy XVI exclusively for PS5 on June 22, 2023.
