Darby Allin Compares Mick Foley To Sting & Talks 1 More Match

Darby Allin believes Mick Foley should have one more match if he feels there is still an unfinished chapter in his wrestling career.

Foley has teased the possibility of returning to the ring for one final match in recent years, though health issues have ultimately prevented the WWE Hall of Famer from moving forward with those plans despite getting himself into better shape.

During an appearance on the Mark Hoke Show (see video below), Allin was asked about the possibility of Foley wrestling again and compared the situation to Sting extending his career in AEW.

“It’s like Sting,” Allin said. “If he feels that the final chapter is unwritten, there shouldn’t be anything stopping him.”

Allin elaborated on the comparison, pointing to Sting’s decision to return to the ring after previously believing his wrestling career was over.

“Everybody told Sting, ‘There is nothing else you can do in wrestling. You retired in 2014 with a neck injury. Why would you come back?’,” Allin continued. “There was something in his spirit, a question that he had to answer. If Mick Foley has that inside of him, by all means, do it.”

Mick Foley let his WWE Legends deal lapse after taking a public stance against WWE and TKO’s support of and relationship with Donald Trump.

He would go on to sign with AEW, where he has already made multiple pay-per-view and television appearances, including one with Darby Allin.
