Andrade El Idolo Injured, Out Of Action For Up To “Couple Weeks”

An injury update has surfaced regarding Andrade El Idolo following AEW Grand Slam Mexico.

Andrade competed at the August 5 special from Arena México, defeating Tommaso Ciampa and Komander in a three-way match to secure the number one entry spot in the Casino Gauntlet at AEW All In: London.

Despite picking up the victory, Andrade revealed on social media that he has not been feeling well since the show. He still fulfilled a pair of scheduled appearances for Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling in Canada before returning home to Miami, where he went to see a doctor.

According to Andrade, the issue is not considered serious, although he expects to be sidelined anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.

“Hi everyone and especially Las Señoritas! I’ve just landed back in Miami, where I live, and I went straight to the DR. I hadn’t been feeling well since the Wednesday after the Grand Slam, but as a professional, I had two shows in Canada with MLP. I’ll keep you posted, but I have to be out of action for a few days or weeks. It’s nothing serious, Take care! but… I have one question?”

MJF, who attacked Andrade following his victory at Grand Slam Mexico, surfaced in the replies with a message of his own.

“HAHAHAHAHAHA,” he wrote. “How you know? OH I KNOW HOW IT HAPPENED!”

As of this writing, there has been no indication regarding whether Andrade’s status will impact his scheduled participation in the Casino Gauntlet at AEW All In: London on August 30 at Wembley Stadium.
