What Made The Xbox 360 Era So Incredible In Your Opinion?

With that said though, every era of Xbox has treated us to innovative new features and amazing games that have stood the test of time. The PS3 existed at the same time as the Xbox 360, and yet somehow, Microsoft’s console felt like the more popular of the two, despite selling slightly less units overall in the end.

It even managed to navigate a devastating technical issue in the form of the Red Ring of Death, and somehow still convince the masses that it was one of the greatest consoles of all time. That’s some feat.

So, what made the Xbox 360 era so incredible in your opinion? Was it just a brilliantly-designed system, RROD aside? Did it innovate in ways that no other system did? Were the games simply that good? Or has its popularity become overblown since the horribly botched launch of the Xbox One in 2013?
