NXT Star Sounds Off On Arik Cannon/AJ Styles ‘Twitter War’

The fallout from the Arik Cannon and AJ Styles “Twitter War” continues.

Lexis King took to social media with a photo featuring several second-generation wrestling talents currently at the Performance Center.

King, the son of Brian Pillman, was pictured alongside Aalyah Mysterio, daughter of Rey Mysterio; Marie Malenko, daughter of Dean Malenko; Uriah Connors, son of Fit Finlay; Avery Styles, son of AJ Styles; and Brooks Jensen, son of Bull Buchanan.

King added a fitting caption to the photo.

“We already set up the f’n chairs.”

The remark comes amid the ongoing social media controversy involving Avery Styles and independent wrestler Arik Cannon. Cannon criticized the 19-year-old Styles for not helping set up chairs at a recent GCW event, prompting AJ Styles to defend his son and leading to a heated back-and-forth between the two.

As previously reported, Cody Rhodes also weighed in on the situation Tuesday night, arguing that Avery had already paid his dues in a different way while growing up as the son of a professional wrestler.

“Avery is 19. His Father was paying dues and making sacrifices throughout that young man’s youth that some people may never understand. When you’re the family holding down the fort.

“To simplify…he already set up the fn’ chairs.”
