It seems that PlayStation owners aren’t keen on having to fork over $40 for a 16-year-old Call of Duty game without all the bells and whistles.

Treyarch announced earlier this month that both Call of Duty: Black Ops and Black Ops 2 were finally being ported to Sony hardware, but the poor reception comes in light of price adjustments on the Xbox Store.

According to a recent post, CharlieIntel reports that price drops on individual DLC packs (from $15 to $10) and Season Pass purchases ($50 down to $30) on the Xbox Store are an indicator of what’s to come for the PlayStation ports.

Whilst we’re not exactly keen on a $40 price tag for Call of Duty games released in 2010 and 2012, the price drop does offer a small silver lining for anyone still in the market for the older Black Ops titles.

There’s no official word from Treyarch on whether the PlayStation ports will be native PS5 versions, include cross-progression and enable cross-platform play, or remain locked to their respective platforms.
