Forza Horizon 6 Dev Vows ‘Strict’ Action Against People Playing The Leaked Version

As you may have heard, Forza Horizon 6 has already started to leak across the web, with initial reports suggesting the leak was caused by an accidental release of unencrypted files by FH6 developer Playground Games.
However, Playground Games has issued a statement this evening that claims the leak was “not the result of a pre-load issue” — and most importantly, they’re vowing strict action against those who choose to access it.
Here’s a look at the statement:
“We are aware of reports that a build of Forza Horizon 6 has been obtained prior to its release and can confirm this is not the result of a pre-load issue. We are taking strict enforcement action against any individuals found accessing this build including franchise-wide and hardware bans. We encourage fans to sit tight for the game’s release on May 19.”
As you can see, they’re not only threatening franchise-wide bans for the Forza Horizon series here, but also hardware bans. The Xbox version hasn’t leaked as far as we’re aware, so this relates specifically to a build on PC.
In terms of spoilers, we’re fortunate this isn’t a Halo or Gears-type situation where major plot points can be revealed ahead of time, but Xbox and Playground Games will still be gutted that it’s happened, and it goes without saying that we don’t recommend accessing any form of leaked content for Forza Horizon 6. Buy it legitimately, and go into it fresh!
