When we published our May 2026 indie games roundup back at the start of the week, we didn’t know that one of the most major indie releases of the entire year would be releasing on May 29th, 2026!

That game is Mina The Hollower, which is a top-down action-adventure game from the developer of Shovel Knight. This one’s been highly anticipated for a very long time now, and it’s finally nailed down its release date to this month.

Looking on the game’s website, there’s no mention that Mina The Hollower is coming to Xbox at all, but the follow-up post from Yacht Club Games on social media confirms that it’ll be on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on May 29th. The trailer also says the same thing, while confirming that it’ll launch at a price of $19.99.
