Polyphony Digital Is Hiring For A New Gran Turismo Game

Polyphony Digital has revealed in a series of job listings that it is staffing up for a new Gran Turismo game, which shouldn’t come as a surprise considering Gran Turismo 7 came out four years ago.
The developer’s job page contains a lengthy message that reveals the Gran Turismo production team are recruiting in multiple roles.
Gran Turismo production team recruitment. It’s been 25 years since I started making Gran Turismo. The main reason we were able to keep making it was because of the players. I think this is proof that the work I continued to make so hard resonated properly. We are proud to have realized the ideas of the future as much as possible through art and technology. But I always think it’s still not enough to deliver the best experience to players…I want to create the future with art and technology. To those of you who have an insatiable desire to create. We look forward to your passion, technology, and ideas.
The website lists 18 job openings including Game Tester, Sound Design Assistant, CG Artist, Project Manager, Technical Artist, and UI Designer.
Gran Turismo 7 launched in March 2022 for PS5 & PS4 and has received robust post-launch content, with the latest update for the racer dropping earlier this year. Back in December last year, Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi revealed that the game was still pulling in two million monthly users, proving GT7 is still incredibly popular. Sony launched the original Gran Turismo in December 1997 for the PlayStation, and the series has gone on to appear on every major Sony platform to date. The franchise is the best-selling Sony IP of all time, with over 100 million units shifted worldwide.
