Pokémon TCG Pocket gets a mega in-person event to celebrate its first anniversary
It seems like only yesterday that Pokémon TCG Pocket came out, and we all eagerly started ripping digital packs open. Today marks the first anniversary of the game, and the Pokémon Company is setting up a sufficiently mega event you can take part in.
Pokémon is coming to the Outernet London venue. You will have seen it if you’ve been near Tottenham Court Road any time recently – it’s the big screen-lined room where people can go in and experience all kinds of visual displays.
On November 8 and 9, 2025, you can head to the venue and open ‘mega-sized’ digital booster packs and play game demos to your heart’s content. There are other in-game items up for grabs, like hourglasses to speed up that next pack opening. You can also have a go at a wonder pick, which will give you a code for some freebies, too.
This is all to celebrate the first birthday of the game, along with the latest expansion, Mega Rising. We’re told DJ Pikachu itself will be there pumping out the tunes, but if that’s not your thing, there’s a lounge area with space set aside for battles and trades.
In the game, there will be a reissue of all the A-series cards, including Lapras, Venusaur, and Mewtwo – so make sure to grab them if you’re thinking of building a new deck. You’ll also find a free booster pack in your mailbox as part of the Pokémon TCG Pocket first anniversary rewards.
