Amazon’s God Of War TV Series Set To Begin Filming In Canada In March 2026
Nexus Point News reports that Amazon’s long-awaited God of War television series will begin filming sometime in March in Vancouver, Canada.
The TV series was delayed once, when showrunner and executive producer Rafe Judkins and executive producers Hawk Otsby and Mark Fergus left the show after Amazon and Sony chose to go in a different creative direction. Still, it seems the show is now heading into full production.
No actors have been cast as of now, but we do know that the show will adapt Karato’s and Atreus’ recent journey through Norse Mythology rather than the Greek mythology that started the franchise.
Though no actors have been named, the group of writers working on the series has been announced:
- Ronald D. Moore will serve as the showrunner for God of War.
- Matthew Graham (Electric Dreams and Spanish Princess)
- Stephanie Shannon (For All Mankind and Outlander)
- Narendra K. Shankar (The Expanse and For All Mankind)
- Joe Menosky (For All Mankind and Star Trek: Discovery)
- Marc D. Bernardin (The Continental and Star Trek: Picard)
- Tania Lotia (The Witcher and The Mighty Nein)
The show is set for Amazon’s Prime Video and will be developed by PlayStation Productions and SCEA Santa Monica Studios.
