Rumour – Rayman Remake Project Going ‘Incredible Well,’ Tentative Release Set For Late 2026
Following news that Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan are handling the future of the Rayman franchise, a report on Insider-Gaming has claimed that the rumoured Rayman Remake, known as Project Steambot, is progressing well and is tentatively set for a late 2026 launch.
The report claims that Rayman Remake isn’t the only immediate plans for the series; Ubisoft reportedly also wants to take the franchise further with a brand new entry in the series. This project, presumably Rayman 4, is being planned but will depend on the success of the Rayman Remake. Regardless, the remake project is going “incredibly well,” according to those familiar with the title.

Rayamn is celebrating its 30th anniversary this week, having originally launched for the PlayStation back on September 1, 1995. Sadly, we haven’t seen a new instalment in the series in quite some time, with the most recent offering being 2013’s Rayman Legends.
Project Steambot was first reported as being in the works in October 2024, and it was claimed that Michael Ancel was serving as a consultant on the project. Furthermore, it is believed that many of the developers working on the Rayman Remake had previously worked on the disbanded Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown team.
The Rayman Remake is allegedly being handled primarily by Ubisoft Milan. Nothing official has been announced by the publisher yet, so take this with a pinch of salt for the time being.
