Sony & PlayStation Productions Reportedly Working On The Last Guardian Movie
DanielRPK has claimed that Sony and PlayStation Productions are currently working on a film adaptation of The Last Guardian.
Unfortunately details are being a paywall but the film is apparently in the pipeline, representing the latest PlayStation IP that the console maker is looking to bring to the big screen. We’ve already seen Gran Turismo and Uncharted, for example, while the likes of God of War and Horizon are getting TV show adaptations.
Interestingly DanielRPK had previously claimed five years ago that The Last Guardian was getting the movie treatment, with Kong: Skull Island writer Max Borenstein reportedly penning the adaptation.

Back in January, Shuhei Yoshida, the former head of Sony’s indie division, revealed during an interview with IGN Japan that he believes The Last Guardian would have been cancelled if it were being published by another company other than Sony. The Last Guardian is known for its tumultuous and lengthy development cycle, having originally been revealed at E3 2009 for PS3 and not seeing the light o day until late 2016 for the PS4.
