Sony’s Project Defiant Gets Official Title: Say Hello To The FlexStrike Wireless Fight Stick — Out 2026
Sony Interactive Entertainment has staple-gunned an official title to its upcoming wireless fight stick, known as Project Defiant, confirming it’ll launch in 2026 under the title FlexStrike.
The hardware manufacturer announced the fight stick during its June 2025 State of Play broadcast and is compatible with the PC and PS5 via a wired connection, or wirelessly using PlayStation Link. FlexStrike delivers toolless swappable restrictor gates and mechanic switch buttons, including square, circle, and octagon restrictor gates that fit snugly into the stick’s built-in storage compartments.

Sony’s FlexStrike will include comfortably angled surfaces and a strong foundation using a non-slip base, delivering a unique, ergonomic design. Players can also keep the DualSense controller connected to the PS5 simultaneously with the FlexStrike, and incorporates customisation options such as switching directional inputs with a built-in level mod switch.
Sony confirmed that the FlexStrike will be on display at EVO 2025 in Las Vegas, which runs August 1 — 3.
