Walmart starts advertising Switch 2 outside of storefronts (UPDATE)
Ever wonder what those poles are outside of retail locations, or the big red balls outside of Target are? Those are called bollards, and they’re put in place to stop cars from crashing into storefronts. Turns out they can be used for advertising as well, and Nintendo has hopped on that opportunity for Switch 2.
We’ve see Nintendo strike advertising deals related to bollards in the past, with Target turning their big red bollards into Kirby tributes, and now Walmart is getting in on the action with some Switch 2 branding. As you can see above, the poles outside some Walmart locations are being covered with Switch 2 branding, showcasing the platform’s name and some Mario-related imagery.
We’re not sure how many Walmart locations will be making over their bollards, so keep an eye on your local wally world to see if they get in on the fun. You can see a few more pictures of the dressed-up bollards in the post below.
