Helldivers 2 Community Manager Twinbeard Is Signing Off, Says The Shooter ‘Has A Bright Future Alongside All Of You’

Thomas ‘Twinbeard’ Petersson, the community manager for Helldivers 2, has revealed on Discord that it’s his last day in the role as his contract comes to an end, but but not before leaving a few parting words.

If you’re not a Helldivers 2 player or simply don’t really follows the social scene on the game, Twinbeard has been a long-standing link between the community and developer Arrowhead Game Studios, providing feedback and teasing future updates.

There’ve been some rough patches, but I always felt that we ventured through the fire tornadoes and sandstorms together. We fought the alien scum and bot menace on the battlefield, experienced the same bugs, and we also turned the tide together. Helldivers 2 is a much healthier game today than it was a few months ago, and it has a bright future alongside all of you. Thank you for sticking with it, us at Arrowhead and me during my service here. Most of you know I neither BS nor lie, so when I say I’m forever grateful for you taking me along this amazing helldive, know that it’s from the bottom of my heart.

There were things I wanted to say that I sometimes couldn’t. That’s part of the job. There were also things I wanted to do that we never got around to – or haven’t, rather. The show goes on, just without me.

Helldivers 2 was released in February 2024 for PS5 and PC, and unless you’ve been living under a rock all year, will know that it’s one of the biggest titles on the market with over 15 million players worldwide. Recently, the game has been nabbing quite a few gongs at various awards; it scooped four at the Golden Joystick Awards and two gongs at the 2024 TIGA Awards, including Game of the Year.
