Layoffs Confirmed For Dead Island 2, Helldivers 2 Support Studio Toadman Interactive
Toadman Interactive is the latest company to announced it is making layoffs this year, with the studio, which is known for its support work on titles such as Dead Island 2 and Helldivers 2, shutting down offices in Stockholm, Visby, and Oslo.
The studio confirmed the news in a LinkedIn post, with the company’s owner, Enad Global 7 (EG7), confirming in its interim report that approximately 100 full0time and contract roles will be affected by the layoffs. You can read both statements below.

The annual cost savings for Toadman is approximately SEK 63 million ($6.1 million) and will affect approximately 100 full-time and contract resources [headcount] previously engaged with Toadman.
EG7 observed that EvilVEvil, Toadman’s latest project, attracted a “lacklustre reception” on its July 16, 2024 release. “Sales figures came in at the lower end of expectations,” said the company.
