Pokémon Co. and DeNA open Pokémon Card D Studio

Back in February, Pokémon Co., DeNA and Creatures Inc. revealed Pokémon TGC Pocket, a mobile app that lets you collect and trade Pokémon cards digitally. While we’re still waiting on a release date for this app, we’ve learned a bit of new information about the companies putting it together.

The Pokémon Co. has revealed that they’ve opened a brand-new company named Pokémon Card D Studio. This is actually a revamp of the studio DeNA Digital Production Co. Ltd., and its focus will obviously be Pokémon TCG Pocket. DeNA Digital Production Co. Ltd. is owned 66.6% by DeNA and 33.4% by The Pokémon Company.

In Pokémon TCG Pocket, you will be able to open two booster packs every day at no cost. You can collect digital cards featuring nostalgic artwork from the past as well as brand-new cards that are exclusive to Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. Also, Be on the lookout for new “immersive cards,” which will make you feel as though you’ve leapt into the world of the card’s illustration.
