David Hayter’s Legacy Series Teases Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater News For Future Episode
The long-awaited Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Remake, known as Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater, will finally receive fresh info in a future instalment of the Legacy Series fronted by Solid Snake voice actor, David Hayter.
The video itself is worth watching if you’re a fan, with Hayter talking at length about the history of the Metal Gear franchise while occasionally slipping into Solid Snake voice mode, which is a real treat. However, at the end of the video, he mentions that a future episode will “delve into the epic, long-awaited remake of what many fans consider to be the best game in the entire franchise.”
And yes, in case you were wondering, he’s referring to Metal Gear Solid 3, which is often labelled as the series’ best. The game is currently available in the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 1, and is a 1960s-era espionage stealth adventure where Naked Snake (Hayter) must infiltrate an enemy compound deep in the jungle.
The game is perhaps the rawest in terms of defining stealth gameplay, as players are encouraging to remain hidden and have the ability to tranquillise foes instead of killing them outright, as well as apply a variety of camouflage to reduce Snake’s chances of being detected.
One unique feature of Operation Snake Eater is that Snake must replenish his stamina bar by capturing or killing local wildlife to eat, although you still occasionally stumble across treats such as instant noodles or calorie mates to gobble up.

Metal Gear Solid 3 Delta: Snake Eater is currently in development for PS5 and is without a release date. Unlike other remakes that re-record all dialogue, the MGS 3 remake will reuse all the original game’s voice recordings, which means Hayter is back as Snake.
