Twisted Metal’s Season 2 Will Include Some Classic Characters Like Dollface, Axel And More

Peacock’s tv adaptation of Twisted Metal is getting a season 2, and according to showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith, fans of the franchise can expect to see more of the series classic characters.

Specifically, Smith referenced characters like Dollface, Axel, Mr. Grimm and Calypso. The introduction of Calypso and Dollface are also part of the show’s new focus on the tournament for season 2.

“We have an amazing team of writers and we’re discussing the arc of the season and what the first episode might be, looking at the big picture.” said Smith.

Smith says he is “really excited” for what him and the team are cooking up, but that excitement doesn’t come without any feeling of nervousness, especially around nailing new characters, specifically Axel.

“We have to get Axel right,” Smith said, though just how they’ll do that remains a mystery.

For now, Smith is looking forward to showcasing different sides of characters fans already know and love.

“I’m excited for fans to see these characters come to life and see what makes them funny and what makes them heartbroken. I think it’s gonna be fun to dive into these people.”
