Pure Nintendo Podcast EP25 | Super Bomberman and more from Konami!

This week on the Pure Nintendo Podcast, Kirk and Jemma discuss Kirk’s trip to New York to cover a Konami event. We also discuss a new demo on our radar and the games we’re playing right now.

Last week’s show was all about the latest Pokémon news, including Detective Pikachu. We also teased an upcoming event in New York, which Kirk reveals in this week’s show as a special Konami showcase. During the show, Kirk tried several new titles heading to the Nintendo Switch this year.

Firstly, Bomberman is back with Super Bomberman R2, which debuts on September 12. There are new modes to enjoy along with what sounds like a robust story mode, and it prompts some Bomberman-related memories for Jemma.

Next up is Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 1, which was highlighted earlier this year during a Nintendo Direct. It’s heading our way in October, bringing a lot of content for fans to enjoy. Like, a lot. And apart from the games, there will also be digital content like graphic novels, screenplays.

Finally, Super Crazy Rhythm Castle is a rhythm-based outing that’s set to provide chaotic multiplayer shenanigans. It features original tunes and co-op gameplay and honestly sounds super fun! It’s due out sometime before the end of the year.

We also get into the Switch games we’re playing at the momen. Jemma has finally been able to check out Vampire Survivors, which debuted August 17. Meanwhile, Kirk is enjoying the Sea of Stars demo ahead of the August 29 release of the full game.

Phew, that’s a lot to cover, and we hope you enjoy the show! Don’t forget to like and subscribe to the channel, and if you leave a question, we’ll answer it on the next episode.

Until next time, game on everyone!
