Two Xbox Game Pass Titles Get New 2023 And 2024 Release Windows
We’re expecting a lot of Xbox Game Pass news as part of Gamescom 2023 this week, and we’re kicking things off with new release dates / windows for two already-confirmed Game Pass titles – Dungeons 4 and Replaced.
Firstly, we now know that Dungeons 4 will release as part of Xbox Game Pass on November 9th, 2023. The game will be available for console and PC, and will see you attempt to “triumph over the forces of good once more”.
In other news, the highly anticipated Replaced has sadly been delayed to 2024. This was confirmed in an update on the game’s Discord server earlier today, where it was explained that although development is progressing at a steady pace, the team wants to “make every aspect of it the best it can be” and “can’t afford to release a sub-par game”.
“After Replaced’s initial announcement in 2021 and its follow-up trailer in 2022, we had this incredible high bar of community expectations. And at this point we knew that we can’t afford to release a sub-par game. We truly want Replaced to be something special and memorable for everybody. This is our first game, and we want to make every aspect of it the best it can be.”
“Our quality bar is incredibly high. To give an example of this, the main character in Replaced has more than 500 meticulously hand-crafted animations made just for platforming (luckily, these are all finished now). We want to deliver every aspect of the game to the same high standard and that requires additional time and effort.”
We’ll throw more details about each of these Xbox Game Pass titles down below, along with the latest trailers:
Dungeons 4 (November 9, 2023)
“The Absolute Evil and its trusted *cough* servant, the Dark Elf Thalya, return in Dungeons 4 after the events of its fabulous predecessor to bring about their triumph over the forces of good once more.”
Replaced (2024)
“REPLACED is a 2.5D sci-fi retro-futuristic action platformer where you play as R.E.A.C.H. – an artificial intelligence trapped in a human body against its own will. REPLACED combines cinematic platforming, pixel art and free-flow action combat set in an alternative 1980βs.”
