Lead Writer Of Far Cry 5 Has Been Promoted To IP Director

As reported by Video Games Chronicle, Drew Holmes has now been promoted to IP Director for the Far Cry franchise. Holmes has worked as a writer on some fantastic triple-A franchises such as Saints Row, Red Faction, BioShock Infinite and of course, Far Cry. Serving as a lead writer and narrative director, he shared the news on his LinkedIn page.

“It’s been an exciting few months… I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as IP Director of Far Cry at Ubisoft! We have big things in store 🙂 Don’t hesitate to reach out if you want to be a part of the next evolution of this great brand!”

Holmes worked as a writer for Ubisoft since 2016. His latest credit was as lead writer on Far Cry 5. In our review on PSU, we said Far Cry 5 was the best entry in the series to date, featuring the series’ best antagonist. Beyond this, Ubisoft has yet to confirm any details about the next Far Cry game. Ultimately though, this is great news for Far Cry fans. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below!
