So, with the embargo now lifted you might be asking where our Lord of the Rings: Gollum PS5 review is. Well, there is a simple reason why we don’t have a review up just yet.

Daedelic Entertainment informed us that a day one patch would be coming today for Lord of The Rings: Gollum. With that in mind, I opted to hold our final verdict until then. This is not an ideal situation, but I wish to represent the complete package available to the public versus the review build. I can say with certainty that we encountered game-breaking problems that kept me from completing the game. Since I couldn’t complete the game, I couldn’t complete the review.

That said, a little early impression we wish to share is that, while the game has its problems, what it does have is heart. The team put a great deal of effort into the game’s world building, character designs, deciding which characters to include, and expanding the Middle-Earth lore. While this does not carry the game at the end of the day, it’s necessary insight for the final product.

In the coming days, I will complete my playthrough of the game and finalize my thoughts on the game as a whole. Then, we will have our Lord of The Rings: Gollum review published.
