Ecco The Dolphin: Complete Brings Remasters Of Two Classic Games, Adds New Ecco Title That ‘Extends The Journey Into The Modern Era’

Ecco The Dolphin: Complete, a remaster package that features overhauled versions Ecco the Dolphin and Ecco: The Tides of Time, has been officially unveiled by A&R Atelier, although platforms and a release date have yet to be announced.
In addition to the remasters of the classic Ecco the Dolphin games, this new release also adds a brand new Ecco the Dolphin experience “build for the modern era.” Ecco the Dolphin: Complete is being handled by people who created the original games, and is described as a “remaster done as it should be.” Furthermore, fans can join in the Earth Day celebration at the official website, where you can participate in early access, connect with the development team, and more.
Ecco the Dolphin: Complete is created by people who were members of the original development team for the classic franchise, including Ed Annunziata and members of the original composition, art, and programming teams. “This is not an outside studio’s interpretation. This is Ecco as it was always meant to be — realised by the minds that dreamed it into existence.” All versions of Ecco the Dolphin and Ecco: The Tides of Time are included in the package, with a fresh Ecco experience that “extends the journey into the modern era, weaving the history of the franchise together into a single, unified experience.”
In addition to remastering the classic Ecco the Dolphin games, this ‘Complete’ package adds features to support speedrunning, achievements, and leaderboards. Furthermore, players can also create custom courses and take them on to “chart their path through any combination of levels from any game in the franchise and share them with the community.”
Ecco the Dolphin: Complete has yet to attract a release or platforms.
We’ve been hearing about an Ecco the Dolphin project for a while now. Back in May 2025, Annunziata revealed that both Ecco the Dolphin and Ecco: The Tides of Time were set to be remastered during an interview with Xbox Wire. During this time, he also said that a brand new entry in the classic SEGA franchise would be coming after the remasters were complete.
