Update & Premiere Date For Peacock Documentary: “The Heartbreak Kid: Becoming Shawn Michaels”

A major new look at one of WWE’s most iconic figures is on the way just in time for WrestleMania season.
WWE has officially announced that “The Heartbreak Kid: Becoming Shawn Michaels” will premiere on Peacock on Monday, April 13, giving fans an in-depth look at the life and career of the legendary performer.
The documentary is being promoted as “one of the most improbable redemption stories in WWE history,” focusing heavily on Michaels’ rise to superstardom, his well-documented personal struggles with addiction, and his eventual comeback both inside and outside the ring.
It doesn’t stop there.
The project will also highlight Michaels’ current role within WWE, where he serves as Senior Vice President of Talent Development, Creative.
In that position, he has been instrumental in shaping the future of the company, leading the NXT brand behind the scenes since 2021 after previously working as a coach.
Several notable names are featured in the documentary, offering insight into Michaels’ journey and legacy. Interviews include Michaels himself, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Bret Hart, Kevin Nash, and The Undertaker, along with a more personal perspective from Michaels’ daughter.
