Crimson Desert Has Already Sold 2 Million Copies Worldwide

Pearl Abyss has announced that open-world RPG Crimson Desert has sold two million copies worldwide just one day after its release on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.

We are incredibly humbled to share that Crimson Desert has sold through two million copies worldwide. Thank you so much to our fans, community, and everyone who has joined us in Pywel. We will listen closely to the wide range of feedback shared by the community and work to make improvements quickly, doing our utmost to make the journey ahead even more enjoyable for our players.

Crimson Desert received somewhat disappointing reviews from critics, and on the days of its release, Pearl Abyss’ shares had dropped nearly 29% on the back early scores.

Crimson Desert takes place on the content of Pywel and follows Kliff, the leader of the Greymanes, as he suffers a major defeat at the hands of rivals the Black Bears, leaving his comrades dead or scattered across the land. Now having lost his family in all but name, Kliff embarks on a journey to reunite with the survivors of the Greymanes and rebuild the faction, in an adventure that will see him forge alliances, encounter numerous dangers, and unearth mysterious factions.
