Divinity: Original Sin II — Definitive Edition Out Now On PS5, Existing PS4 Owners Get Free Upgrade

Larian Studios has announced that Divinity: Original Sin II — Definitive Edition is now available for PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S, with those of you who own the game already on PS4 entitled to a free upgrade. New owners can purchase the game for $14.99 on PS5, which is 75% off the usual asking price.

Divinity: Original Sin II takes place centuries after the original game, and is set in a medieval fantasy world known as Rivellon The game takes the form of a tactical turn-based RPG and uses an isometric perspective, with players controlling a Godwoken, an individual who has ben persecuted for their use of powerful Source magic. When creatures known as Voidwoken cause havoc in Rivellon, your character becomes a pivotal figure in the struggle against these monstrous enemies.

Initially launched on Kickstarter, Original Sin II generated over two million dollars from its crowdfunding process, and went on to sell over two million copies in just two months, and also garnered a reputation as one of the best RPGs ever made. The game was originally released for PC in September 2017, with PS4 and Xbox One versions arriving in August 2018 and Switch receiving its own version in September 2019.
