Resident Evil Requiem Producer Says There’s No Plans For A Demo Right Now

Masato Kumazawa, producer on Resident Evil Requiem, has revealed during an interview with Stevivor that there are currently “no plans” for a demo of the upcoming survival horror title.

While Capcom has released demos for a number of its previous Resident Evil titles, including Resident Evil 2 Remake and Resident Evil Village, Kumazawa-san revealed that the team is simply looking to get the game finished at this point and isn’t thinking about a demo.

So, in terms of a demo play, we actually have no plan for one at this stage. None at all. We just want to focus on finishing off the game. Our development team is just doing its best to make sure that it’s creating the best quality game; to make sure that it’s a fine product.

Speaking during the same interview, Kumazawa addressed ongoing rumours of Leon S. Kennedy appearing in the game, warning players that recent reports including an image of the character wearing an eyepatch are fake. The producer also revealed that elements of Resident Evil Requiem’s original multiplayer concept are still present in the game, although wouldn’t go into details.

Resident Evil Requiem is slated for release on February 27, 2026 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
