Stalker 2 Team Shares Parting Message Ahead Of Xbox Game Pass Departure

In case you hadn’t seen, Stalker 2 is part of the batch of games leaving Xbox Game Pass in early November, with the date specifically being November 15th – it should have disappeared off the service by the end of Saturday.
To mark its departure, a lengthy message has been shared on social media by the Stalker 2 team, enthusing that the Xbox collaboration has been “one of the most glowing partnerships we’ve ever had”.
Here’s an excerpt from it:
“This one started with a single email and grew into one of the most glowing partnerships we’ve ever had. A match happened that ultimately made millions of players happy.”
“We’ve said this many times, but we are genuinely grateful to the Xbox team for all the collaboration, incredible showcases, heartfelt care, and amazing professionalism. Your hand of support could always be felt, even in the darkest moments. Together, we gave players an unforgettable experience. We are sincerely proud of what we’ve achieved together. This road without you would have been, at the very least, completely different.”
Stalker 2 first arrived as a “day one” launch for Xbox Game Pass on November 20th, 2024, and it’s fair to say the release wasn’t particularly smooth, with multiple updates having ironed out some of the issues over the past 12 months.
The game is now in a much better place these days, with “new stories and experiences, story DLCs, and many surprises that we’re already preparing” in the pipeline. In other words, it might be worth picking up permanently if you’re a fan of it!
It’s said that the “best is yet to come” for Stalker 2… we just sadly won’t be seeing it on Xbox Game Pass.
