Halo Studios Looks To Focus On ‘Multiple Halo Titles In Development’ As Halo Infinite Ends Major Updates

Halo Studios has revealed in a blog post that Halo Infinite’s upcoming Operation Infinite will be the final major update for the game as company turns its attention to focus on ‘multiple Halo titles in development.’
This is probably going to come as a disappointment to fans seeing as how Microsoft had previously championed a 10-year plan for Halo Infinite, so right now it looks as if the game isn’t even going to reach the half-way point of that plan.
As we look back on four years of evolution and updates in Halo Infinite, we’d like to thank our community for your steadfast support,” Halo Studios said. “Without your feedback and enthusiasm, Halo Infinite multiplayer would not be the special place it is today: a robust arena for slaying and playing, with something for every Spartan.
With multiple Halo titles in development, we’ll need our whole team’s combined focus to deliver new experiences with the same passion and care that our community has given us. While we remain committed to supporting Halo Infinite on the road ahead, Operation: Infinite is the last major content update currently planned.

One of the titles that Halo Studios is working on is a full remake of the single-player campaign for Halo: Combat Evolved, titled Halo: Campaign Evolved, which is scheduled for release in 2026 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. This marks the first time the franchise will be available on a PlayStation console, with Halo Studios stating that the franchise is ‘on PlayStation going forward.’
