Konami Surveys Fans On Next Metal Gear Remake Following Snake Eater Delta
In a recent survey conducted at the Tokyo Game Show 2025. Konami sought fan input on which Metal Gear title should receive the next remake. This initiative follows the successful launch of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. The remake garnered positive reception despite some performance issues.
The survey presented fans with a list of titles. Including the original Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, as well as entries from the Metal Gear Solid series up to The Phantom Pain. Notably absent from the list were Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and Metal Gear Survive. The latter being a critical and commercial misstep for the franchise.
While the survey doesn’t confirm any upcoming projects, it indicates Konami’s interest in expanding the Metal Gear franchise. The inclusion of early titles like Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 suggests a potential return to the series’ roots, which could appeal to both longtime fans and newcomers.
As the gaming community awaits further announcements, the survey results may provide insight into Konami’s future direction for the Metal Gear series.
