Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 Begins Issuing Refunds For Premium Edition Pre-Orders
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 developer The Chinese Room has begun issuing refunds to those who pre-ordered the title as they look to address the backlash of placing two joinable Clans behind a paywall.
In a statement issued on X, the developer promised that information on the changes will be available on September 17, and pre-orders will resume before the game’s official release on October 21.
Hi. We’re making adjustments and will share the details on Sept 17. Big changes take time, and we want to do this right. PS Store pre-orders will be refunded on Sept 8. You’ll be able to pre-order again before launch on Oct 21. Thanks for your patience; we’ll share more soon!
In a follow-up post, DebbieElla, who is the moderator and community developer for Pardox, posted a follow-up statement on Reddit indicating that the refunds will only be for those who pre-ordered the Premium Edition of the game on PlayStation Network.
Hi everyone!
We are working hard on the adjustments that we promised, and we will be able to tell you all the details on September 17th. Making significant changes like this involves many moving parts, and we want to make sure that we get it right with this change.
Anyone who pre-ordered the Premium Edition through the PlayStation Store will be contacted and refunded starting Monday, September 8th. You will be able to pre-order your Premium Edition copy again later, before the release on October 21st. Please note that this is an intentional first step in our planned course of action leading up to September 17th to deliver the best possible experience for you at launch.
As always, we’ll share the complete information on our social media platforms and Discord. Thank you all for your patience!
It’s been a rough road for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, and it doesn’t seem to be getting any easier. The game’s development changed hands when it appeared ready to launch, transitioning from Hardsuit Labs to the Chinese Room two years ago, essentially beginning development from scratch.
